WhatsApp has launched new features to make group chats more organized and fun. Now, you’ll see member tags, text stickers, and custom event reminders. As a result, these tools help everyone connect, express themselves, and stay up-to-date.
Takeaways 🚀
✅Customize roles with member tags
✅Create stickers from any text
✅Set reminders for group events
✅Share large files up to 2GB
✅Enhance chats with HD media
Show Your Role with Member Tags
To begin with, member tags let you add a custom role for yourself in each group. For example, in your sports club chat, you might set yourself as “Goalkeeper.” In a school group, you could be “Anna’s Dad.” Because of member tags, everyone gets a quick way to see who’s who—especially useful in large groups like community clubs or parent groups.
Get Creative with Text Stickers
If you want to make your messages stand out, now you can easily turn any word or phrase into a sticker using the Sticker Search bar. Simply type your text, and WhatsApp will create a sticker for you. Furthermore, you can save your custom stickers directly to your sticker pack—no need to send them in a chat first. In turn, this makes building your sticker collection easier than ever.
Set Custom Reminders for Events
Organizing group events just got even simpler. Now, when you create an event in a group chat, you can set an early reminder for invitees. For instance, you can choose a custom reminder time so people get notified before the event begins. Because of this, guests are more likely to show up on time, whether they need to travel to a party or join a video call.
Overall, these changes add to WhatsApp’s steady stream of group chat improvements. Additionally, other updates include larger file sharing (up to 2GB), high-definition media, screen sharing, and voice chats. As a result, WhatsApp continues to make group chats better for everyone.
